I've taken a vow of science

I arrived on this planet the day after a short, skinny guy calling himself Dan Cooper jumped out of a TWA jetliner over Washington State.

Things have since gotten weirder.

A little over three decades later, I now spend my time encouraging the weirdness by writing fiction, music, (particularly lyrics, and particularly filk), singing, and greatly enjoying the company of friends and loved ones. I somehow managed to marry a marvelous lady, the lovely and praiseworthy argentee, who is smarter and in many ways tougher than I am.

My other great love is voice acting. Someday, I could be the next Don LaFontaine or Maurice LaMarche, except perhaps without the "La" in my last name. I pay the bills with a variety of odd jobs and freelance work, and hope to return to college for a broadcasting degree sometime soon, which should help pave the way.

I use this blog to advocate freedom of speech; personal responsibility; respect for the individual; cheerful and blatant disrespect of misused authority; and the articulation of my belief that the two biggest problems with politics in the United States are the Democrats and the Republicans. However, with the recent, but very familiar, mistakes SUP seems intent upon making in driving the business side of LiveJournal right over its userbase, this journal's location could change at any given moment. Watch for updates.

If you want to know more about me, just ask--who knows? I may even answer you. I will undoubtedly reveal more about myself in my entries. Read and enjoy. (Don't try to understand; just enjoy.)
